I really tried to get into Europa Universalis once when I got it for free for being registered on Salem forums.
But when i completed tutorial and started campaign...
Never in my life i felt so stupid and confused, without any idea what's happening on the screen or what should i do now.

Weirder experience than trying to quit vim for the first time.

It took me a few tries playing before I got the hang of it. Now, it's one of my favorite strategy games. The idea is to conquest your neighbors or enemies. It's pretty open ended on this. You can follow the quests you get or you can set out on your own and deal with the infamy and consequences. It boggled me for a while as to how all the parts work together.

Hardcore zombie survival. It doesn't matter what biome you live in or how safe you think you are. When night falls, they will find you.

Edit: Oh my God... it's canon. Zombie children.

From Oregon Trail II (it seemed appropriate here, too). A FOR REAL game. Soldier went missing, and I just wandered around Nevada and California for a year (while the wagon party kept yammering at the empty wagon for not keeping the morale up).

It was hilarious.

Age of Wulin is Europe, Age of Wushu NA. Different publisher, same game.
