in order for one to be considered an hnh veteran you need to be an anal friend with the devs? you are a very confused young man, sarchi.

changes were needed, however the time required and materials needed should be changed. perhaps have crossroads require something like lcs do, rope, leather, bone glue etc? experienced players are more likely to abuse crossroads than the average player, and i'm sure most of them would agree getting lc mats compared to the metal mats would make for much more tedious game play, as well this makes it so crossroads are accessible for newer/less advanced hearthlingss. as for the hearth/village port timer, its far too long, even the most mouse/dexterity un-savvy user can click on another player within 5 seconds of entering draw distance. when doing inner village tasks you really notice the change, the travel time really adds up when doing repetitive teleport based activives, porting doughs to ovens etc. i've only read a few pages in this thread so my apologies if my points were already addressed.

Crossroads being a few branches and some dreams is was and will always be retarded regardless

No, it is not. Why would it be? Making them more expensive was a wrong analysis of the current situation. Crossroads were a pain in the ass too build already. As Warpy said raising costs is not a fix to anything.

Have been asking for this for ages. This is your game, fuck those who want a stable game environment. Your game needs testing and nothing else at this point.

jorb wrote:While we're on the subject, I wonder what bringing back brick-bashing would change....

Also suggested by yours truly Inner Party in case you forgot. It might not be perfect but the world was in a better state when it still existed. Brickbashers were no chars. They were tools developed by big communites with a lot of time and ressources and it was a great risk to use them (They worked like atomic bombs. There are political scientists considering atomic bombs to be no weapons at all, but tools of political pressure. They are arguing nobody would ever use such a bomb, unless maybe he is a complete madman). You might even make the "Brickbasher" a real tool instead of a character. Requiring 10000 pieces of Midnight Blue and a lot of hemp to be built. Cheese Juggernaut! ;)

jorb wrote:Or maybe, what if we removed teleport completely?

Again suggested by us before. Although I am not a big fan of this one without a new kind of fast travel system, but the current one needs to be removed so go ahead.

Oh please just start doing this. I suggested to Loftar for fun already to give me a god fist like once a month to nuke all vaults if you are too lazy to do it. I know you will never go for that and I can understand it, but you yourself should get rid of those vaults.

Agreed, crossroad protection is an abuse. It is very expensive (Yes crossroads were fucking expensive before, how does nobody get that?), it takes a looot of time and it needs a big community to work on it though. Those are the 3 criteria I would measure an actual solution to ressource spot griefing by as well. Since ressource spot griefing is a really big problem, one of the biggest the game has. There is simply no other way to protect them and this solution, while technically an abuse fullfills all criterias to be a decent fix. It is probably even too complicated. I know I never wanna secure a claynode in my life again with such a method.

Edit: Also, it is rammable in case you forgot. Another thing I would an actual solution suspect to have. Not protected for all eternity, that is just wrong information you are spreading.

when you use it, is like boar tusk snuff, just gives you power to destroy just about anything for a few seconds, or pays up stupid amounts of lp

As jorb says. he's not going to care about the matt's and frankly. why?

Remove teleporting, I'm for it.
But also allow us to shoot a lazor beam from our door to the dam water so that people cant build things in front of the door and lock people in...

O and yes the hearth is a bit to long. I'm up for making it 6 sec's, now :D
OR MAYBE!!!!!!
make gear the reduce the time it takes to hearth!

like if you wear
poormans gloves! -2sec's
Leather cloak! -2sec
hide cloak! -2!
or make a full set of stuff for -4 sec

Make it worth it for the noob's! fuck them pro's! ;)
help the early game players!

fuck yah im rolling now in idea's now!
...dam it guys help me out. find way to make early game easy for noobs and harder on the pro's :p

thumbs up to that idea!

clothes that have no combat advantage except to allow people to become masters of the ancient and honorable art of 'running away', they could take up heaps of inv space too, to stop people swapping them out for pk or hunting reasons

maybe something you have to hold in a hand, to prevent bowman becomming super speedy?

Nobody ever broke into Sodom. There never has been any superpower remotely resembling Sodom since w3.
