You're not fooling anyone saying you are going to bot 20 characters etc. And all that shit.

You are not dealing with anything. You're on the forum crying that devs can't work on Salem and this at the same time.

No matter how much you bot you have to put in SOME effort if you want to build back up, which is something you aren't going to do in a broken game right?

Or did you change your mind about that too.

First of all, the botting is all speculative. I'd rather spend 20 hours developing bot scripts and tutorials than put it into character development because those 20 hours will yield much greater results over time. As it stands, I'm still not sure if I care enough or not, and this thread is really putting it into perspective for me.

Second, my entire point isn't that I don't want to put in effort in playing. It is that losing that effort arbitrarily and stupidly is no fun and something needs to be done to change it.

Finally, the devs need to pay attention to this fanbase. It's a poor customer service decision, in my opinion, to leave us here regardless of their other concerns.

Are we paying for the game? No. Therefore they aren't obligated to do anything.

Customer service? I didn't realize this was a P2P game.

I'd settle for some fanservice.

Your notion is partially incorrect. They developed this game because this is what they are doing for a career. We may not be paying for this game, but how they represent themselves does matter if they want to win us over as customers of their other games. At least, I know that it will influence my decision to pay for any other game they choose to release.

I'm not sure I would consider myself as having obligations beyond whatever a presumptive EULA might state even if you were paying customers. Naturally we want to be liked, but not if it means spending too much time on it. ;)

Sure. I'm just trying to point out that there are obligations if you want to win me as a future paying customer. I really like your efforts! You've got a great thing going here. All I am trying to say is: Don't ignore us too long, or we may lose confidence. Isn't that fair?

That is entirely fair. I really wish we could do more than we do. I really miss working on Haven.

I don't think you quite understand one of the main reasons they are working on Salem full time instead of partly on both.

Salem will (hopefully) be their income source so they do not have to rely solely on donations like this game.

Salem is a game that will be "finished" at some point. Haven is more like their hobby, it may never be completed, but every hobby needs a source of income to support it.
