i lost 56 dwarves to a 135 unit invader force.

54 lived but the 56 were killed pretty quickly considering the size of the battle.

my 10 top military dwarfs died in this battle so i guess thats equivalent.

Urist McMiner cancels drink, interrupted by Hippo corpse.
Urist McMechanic cancels construct building, interrupted by Harpy corpse.
Urist McMiner has been missing for a week.
Urist McButcher is throwing a tantrum!
Urist McMiner 2 has been found dead.
Urist McMechanic has been found dead.
Urist McButcher has calmed down.

Urist McAxedwarf enters martial trance.
Urist McAxedwarf has been found dead.
Urist McMason cancels construct building, interrupted by Urist McMiner mutilated corpse.

YOUR SETTLEMENT HAS CRUMBLED TO IT'S END.

I love the new evil biomes. I've went ahead and did "maximum difficulty".
Settling on 2 different terrifying biomes. Scorching Mountain and Scorching Shrubland. Theres also three necromancer towers in range, though I never survived long enough for those to actually get to siege me. Its fun if every bodypart you cut off just stands(more or less) back up, even the stuff you butchered. Refuse piles are danger zones.
Ever heard of a dwarf being attacked by reanimated mussle shells, no? HE DIDN'T SURVIVE THE ENCOUNTER TO TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT. SO DID NONE WHO WITNESSED THE SPECTACLE.

Losing is fun-

Been playing adventurer mode lately, usual chain of events:

Villagers don't need my service
I get bored
Start strangling people by the throats in their homes
Chop their hands off and putting them in my inventory
Block the doors with campfires
Repeat until everyone is trapped
Train my throwing skill by grabbing mud and then throwing it on the ground
Throw hand bullets at the villagers
Go to another village once all those villagers are dead/I run out of hands
Repeat until a farmer has a crossbow and knocks me unconscious by shooting me in the leg

I was only able to break the hands of the children because they didn't have enough blood to survive a hand chopping.

I tried macedwarves before that(a lot of times, too. They're only effective when you got a bunch of them), they don't deal enough damage to put the zombie to "rest" before either getting butchered or, well, getting butchered. Chopping limbs off deals a great deal of damage and IF I actually manage to get migrants (most die before they even reach my embark site) I have 2 of them become dedicated refuse haulers only, to dump freshly cut zombies parts into a deep, deep hole with a hatchcover which I'm gonna fill with lava, eventually. Or a drawbridge, either works.

There's got to be a way to manage that embark site. I shall continue trying and maybe post some screenshots if I actually manage to settle(all the stuff from the wagon(a lot of stuff) and is moved deep inside the safety of my home-hole, preferably with a drawbridge)
