Just for the record, I didn't quit because of lag, I quit because the game is broken in too many ways.

This is amazing.

I played last year March-June and it was one of the greatest gaming experiences , however lag has killed me and my friends way to many times. glad to be back.

W7 would be quite nice as i could fully immerse myself but i am still happy as it is now. Thank you developers i was just about to lose my hope and stop lurking the forums every couple of weeks hoping , for something.

Potjeh your talking about the unbreakable hearthvaults, and I want to tell you that's a terrible reason to quit, and heres why: if someone was on a small island and logged in to check his walls everyday, then you'd never kill him anyways. So saying that you quit because you can't break into a hearthvault, and kill someone is just plain silly.

The best way to kill someone is catching them online.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Doesn't change the fact that it's broken...the only way to survive and not be bug raided right now is to build on an island. And that only protects you if there's not some bug jump i don't know about (i bet there probably is).

This means there's not much point in building a legit town as it could easily be wiped away by anyone who feels like building a ram 200 tiles away. Most people would rather build a legit town then chase people between vaults.

Uhm, the fact that you just need to log in and check your tiny walls once a day is the reason why vaults are unbreakable. What's your point? And it's not just vaults and vault switching, there's also teleportation, infinite character and quality progression, resource expense inequality between raiding and defending, OP rbows, either instadeath or 0dmg ping combat, and a ton of other issues I can't think of off the top of my head.

And GL catching a murder alt online. They don't even walk to raids, they're just summoned in wherever they're needed and safely stored away when their work is done.

Vaults are probably only a very minor reason among a whole pile of reasons to not play HnH.

@Potjeh: Aren't rbows really shitty now? Or did they actually reach q levels where you can snipe with them again? Last time I played they could never go through decent steel.

They're still shit unless you're sniping newbies or if you have plenty of time to just sit there pelting someone with arrows without them leaving.

Even if the lag is fixed and the bugs are fixed, how would one deter a player from breaking the game with another? It is currently an game-breaking bug exploiting meta-game at the moment.
