You're right, if jorbtar made haven 3d, haven would probably become a salemtastrophe.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

There was more stuff, but nothing particularly important.

#haven wrote:(15:32:29) <Bergzwerg> loftar, so, what next? are free from salem now?
(15:32:51) <loftar> Well, not "free" quite yet. I've gotta teach them the ropes a bit, obviously.
(15:33:03) <loftar> I expect that to take some time in the near future, though I don't know exactly how much yet.
(15:33:09) <deus> dis you sell salem?
(15:33:25) <loftar> I think that ought to have been clear from the post. :)
(15:35:24) <Bergzwerg> loftar, have you done some work on hafen lately?
(15:35:29) <loftar> Yes
-
(15:35:50) <deus> how long has the sale been in the works
(15:36:02) <deus> and does mortal whatever have any other games
(15:36:14) <Bergzwerg> loftar, can you
(15:36:15) <Bergzwerg> specify?:3
(15:36:16) <loftar> Not extremely long, deus; only a bit over a month.
(15:36:29) <deus> and the second?
(15:36:31) <loftar> They haven't made any finished games previously, but they've had ambitions.
-
(15:41:56) <deus> do you have a day job or is it just hafen all day
(15:42:23) <loftar> It's just hafen all day erry day.

More stuff that isn't really new

#haven2 wrote:(21:23:03) <Wint> Hey loftar, is HnH ever going to have a purchase system with RL money like Salem?
(21:23:17) <TheRedHun> a corner of a land claim covering 7 mussel..
(21:24:16) <loftar> Who can tell the future, Wint? :)
(21:24:48) <Bergzwerg> I'm more curious about new quality system
(21:24:52) <loftar> It's certainly not part of any plans we have, though. :)
(21:24:57) <loftar> So am I, Bergzwerg. ^^
(21:25:24) <TheRedHun> One of the reasons I love HnH is the fact it is free
(21:25:36) <Bergzwerg> I don't care actually
(21:25:37) <loftar> Well, so is Salem, though.
(21:26:04) <TheRedHun> I mean entirely free and no shops
(21:26:06) <TheRedHun> or anything
(21:26:12) <Wint> I would straithg up pay for this game, if it had like a $5 a month charge id still pay its, its just so nice to play, its my unwinde after work
(21:26:50) <loftar> It's very nice having it free, for sure, but in the end, if we can't survive on air, we'll have to monitize it in some way or anot
(21:27:38) <Bergzwerg> welp, hafen won't be p2p for sure
(21:27:54) <loftar> We wrote Haven on our savings, and tbt, right before we were offered writing Salem for Paradox, I was running quite low on remaining savings.

I almost feel like charging money for the sole purpose of spiting this person.

That was slightly out of context, I said I wouldn't mind paying a join fee or a membership but I wouldn't like a shop where players can purchase boosts. I honestly wouldn't mind paying for this game because I do believe it is a great game that is worth paying for. :D

To be fair you couldn't call buying silver a real boost. It was so much easier to get a lot of silver than work IRL to pay for it. paying for it is merely a donation. I had piles upon piles of silver and never paid for a single piece. It wasn't much work, either. Just killing people and hunting crickets... But enough about Salem, not only is this the wrong forum, but also it is the wrong developers (or owners).
