He is bipolar. Don't listen to what people say, look at what they do. Jorb very much approves of botting.

Ok then what's the point of having a game no one plays?

The purpose of a game for the players is to entertain themselves. Are people being entertained in a hypothetical game everyone bots in? Sure they can.

The purpose of making a game can be different. For some it is about the money. For jorbtar: dunno.

Just that most people make games with gameplay. Maybe though should rename this spreadsheet simulator if that is the intention.

@amanda.
for trading, you are actually overpaying when you consider the price time/efforts-spent-wise and you do not mind it because its the common price as of late, correct? then you are not getting benefits from them, more like they are undercutting you instead, its just that you just dont mind because that is the "common" price currently available and it really doesnt matter to you that they are devaluing the market.
as for friends, giving gifts is not really about "benefit" kind of stuff, is it? unless you are constantly begging for gifts or something.
and i dont think i ever said or tried to force anyone to "stop being friends with someone" just because they are playing certain roles in game? why village politics or running a village has something to do with your friendship in real life unless you run it together?

as for xcom or emerald contributing the community, arent we all in one way or another? or are you saying some flamboyant things that they do are particularly superb and not comparable to others small contributions? (and as for "amazing" projects, ive already posted my opinion in the reply to ramones)

now. as for why i have particularly been attacking emerald....didnt think id have to explain this.

even though i dont really feel the need of botting myself because im not trying to be competitive, i do understand somewhat that many want to bot. it is a perma-death game, you automatically get punished for not botting when many others are botting, that is, when we think about the character building and base building and for advancement of everything. and especially when the routines are repetitive and boring (though i dont normally find them boring myself, i do sometimes feel like i want to skip some chores, so its not like i never feel that), there is no wonder how people are tempted. when you are in a village with others, you really want to contribute too but sometimes you have real life issues coming up and you cant physically do it when needed and you get frustrated.

it is easy to say "i dont bot" when your villagers are botting for your village, leaving all the conflicts other players are going through. sure, i can imagine many non-botter villagers are most likely doing lots of village work too, but a village with bots and a village without bots makes a huge difference. we all know a botter can reduce so much burdens off of others shoulders. be in one and anyone can see.
i would rather understand those who bot than those who ignore others conflicts.
saying "i dont bot" blatantly that way while some others are confessing how they are tempted or how they are botting, sounds very disgusting to me. thats why i called it "let em eat cake".

as a final note, i think i have made myself clear enough before that i actually dont really care whether you bot or not, but im very against encouraging botting and i attack those who do encourage it or doublespeak it.

@windmaker,
thanks <3 but nty. i actually have all the fancy scripts rotting in my folder for long. this genius gave me all along with his fabulous client, he knows i hate bots, maybe he expected me to change my hatred towards botting too, but dunno, probably just being very nice and generous.

@LoW,
botters have been here before w6. never seen the statue of arksu of w4?

Since when do you care about what most people do and don't do? As for renaming: sure if they want the name to explain how the game is played better, yes.

I'm saying most developers care how their games are played. That's the point of building an experience.

Sure (although it doesnt and shoudnt matter what other devs do or dont do) and so do Jorbtar, they dont allow crashing server exploits.
