I think that only devs could be upset by this. And if they don't give a fuck why should you?

And i think ramones is seling his time invested in game. He isn't like selling source code of the game.
He played hours and hours to get to the point where he is today. So every pearl sold is well earned.
And luckily for him there are some persons in game who are willing to pay for things he sells. And i also think that buying in game stuff isn't that smart.

people like you actually let some idiots think that implementing SOPA/PIPA is any good for internet.

Ahahaha that has nothing to do with anything you're such a fucking idiot.

I wouldn't buy any in game stuff but i also wouldn't judge people who would like to.
Ramones told you that others came to him with offers. You wouldn't sell stuff (which you don't need) if someone would offer you real money.
Only difference would be that i wouldn't talk on forums about selling thing for real money. :D

He botted hours and hours to get to the point where he is today. So every pearl sold is well earned.

I fixed what you wrote, I'm pretty sure most of these goods are botted - its simply not profitable to sell at 50pts = $1 if you don't.

And I know, these guys do spend a long time playing to set up their shit to the point where they can just bot to make profit. TBH the prices don't even seem so high for the time invested.

Actually, i want to add to my previous comment...

I think its lame, because the beauty of this game is really the player-created economy/(society, if you are not a marxist). Having people who bot + then sell for real money breaks this, which thus breaks the beauty of the game, and is thus lame. Its pretty simple.

Ofc having people who bot already breaks this to a certain extent, but I argued about that before and no-one cared much.

Buying in game items with real life currency isn't a moral issue at all. The fact that you seem to think it is is the scary part here.

selling in game items to earn money out of someone's property and donate nothing, even complains about the game (saying how its not worth donating) is a moral issue.
encouraging unofficial RMT is another moral issue.

I think that many other things breaks the beauty of the game more that selling some stuff.
But not for me. I just like to do some of my chores and talk to the fellow villagers. That's enough for me. For more i don't have the time. :)

And bots are some things that probably all big villages use. Hell even ender client is cheating in some way.

The game may be broken in many ways but that does not mean that adding more poop to the pile is okay.

For me the whole RMT it's simply a matter of fairness. Everyone wants to participate in a game where he has equal chances. RMT is one of the issues that undermine that idea. I'm well aware there are also serious game designs flaws at work that work against this too, there is no need to point that out. One may also argue that the true evil behind it is botting. Without botting it wouldn't be possible to massproduce high quality endgame items, somewhat interesting characters for sale, etc.. And it is certainly true, yet...

... there is nothing more disgusting to me than a person who thinks he can buy whatever he wants by bringing in foreign resources into a game that don't belong there. It basically devalues everything all the other players who enjoy the game in its original spirit have achieved. Not all players may not care and in fact one may not even ever be at a real disadvantage because of these real money trades but it stands against the very idea of fairness nonetheless. Fairness may be a somewhat sketchy concept but it is what makes us play competitve games in the first place. By doing these trades both buyer and seller rob the game of its soul and by pretending they're not doing anything wrong they're just trying to cover up their corrupted deal. For anyone with open eyes it is still plain visible that they have no morals whatsoever.

I like to compare the issue with playing a boardgame, let's monopoly. Imagine someone attempted to buy streets there with RL money just to win. The other players would be pretty upset and leave the table. Here on the other hand you can pull that crap off without anyone being able to do anything against it.
I'm still ashamed and embarrassed about my last post. There are many small reasons but no real excuse for what I said in the end. All that remains is regret because I won't be able to make up for it again.

See you in a different game maybe. Hopefully without retardation from my side.

players will have to blaze trails of their own into the unknown, the wilderness and the future, and explore and affect the world of Haven & Hearth using only their own best judgment and a chipped stone axe. Trust us, the stone axe is the shit.

As players progress, they will be able to acquire new skills and abilities, allowing them to perform a variety of tasks—such as the claiming of land, the construction of buildings and the cultivation of crops—each step forward making the basic task of survival somewhat easier. Having progressed far enough, players will, in time, be able to organize themselves into societies, from simple tribes and villages, progressing through republics, nation states and, ultimately, empires.

You don't see how being able to buy a fully equipped 18kk LP character, or pearls for that matter, breaks this noble premise and wonderful idea for a game?

I don't care if most big villages use bots, I still don't really agree with it.
I think enders is actually a great addition to the game, and doesn't really break it yet - doesn't change the fact that everything is built by the players using their leisure time, for example. I know some people argue that things like showing opponents IP is broken, but I think that any pvp mechanics issue or whatever is secondary to the basic premise of the game.
