Salem will (hopefully) be their income source so they do not have to rely solely on donations like this game.

Salem is a game that will be "finished" at some point. Haven is more like their hobby, it may never be completed, but every hobby needs a source of income to support it.

I completely understand, but my point is that allowing their reputation to suffer won't help them at all.

It seems like a certain segment of the community actively tries to get people to rage quit the game. Is that really going to help Jorb win over future paying customers? I don't think so.

Very much this. When we originally decided to launch Salem as a project I somewhat naively believed that it would allow us to work more on Haven, seeing as how we would be free from the considerations of having to go to school or work and whatnot. One of the things that has proven to be very hard, however, is the simple multitasking of the two projects. When you work on something like this it occupies your mind almost every minute of the day, and it is extremely hard to context switch between the two projects at the drop of a hat. In a sense I am always in a constant, low-intensive meditation on the projects -- they are always with me in the back of my mind -- every mechanic like a little cluster of stars in a night sky, and it's extremely hard to just instantly turn the telescope around and look at a completely different constellation.

If you hit your head hard enough you might develop multiple personality disorder.

I somehow suspect that that wouldn't help. :)

Nope. You need a time machine.

Jorb, as I don't really find my answer in the forums I guess you could quickly reply on my question here: when is Salem going to be finished? Do you have a deadline or something? I would really like to test Salem but I would also continue playing haven and hearth ofcourse because I just like it :) I would like to see hnh develop again so can you put a date on it? a month? (does not have to be the exact date, when you think you'll be ready)
Hope you have a great day

The idea is to have it out and properly released sometime this summer.
