I've always wondered why it cuts out parts of words, it can be a pain in the ass. Anyone know why?

The problem arises because the letters are based off a tileset which is why long string titled and named monsters/dwarves can cause a game crash. If you do a search on the forums you might be able to find a True Font work around that some modder was perfecting before the last update.

Pressing F12 fixes the problem, it'll make you use the right and proppa tileset for letters, its a bit bigger, but hey, no missing words

Edit: The forest titan lost without killing a single Zombie. Unlike the desert titan it didn't burn away its own body. Now i have a Zombie Forest titan. Great.

are you specifically making it an archery range?

are you assigning them bolts for training?

are these bolts of a specific material?

I like bone for training. There's almost always an over abundance of it from hunting or just raising and butchering animals.

For archery training, I usually build several 1x7 to 1x10 rooms. Put an archery target at the end of each one. From what I've seen, it's one archer per target. I'm not sure if you can just do one large room and have multiple targets. I just do a room per target and assign all my archer squads to train there (as well as train in my "training barracks" to maybe pick up dodge skills and such).

I usually do that, though I'm not sure if dwarves can accidently shoot each other when training.

Tested, they don't shoot each other on friendly terms, but shooting at dwarven merchant animals causes loyality cascades and made my two archers shoot each other and quickly spiral my military to shit.
