Yes! Do it!
No but seriously, you guys can't go on forever developing games with only a shitty donate button that rarely gets clicked, I hope that one day H&H will be subscription-based or something like that. I guess customizable banners and so on would be a cool way to monetize too. I feel sad that so many people feel entitled to play for free without a thought of contributing back.

I'm not going to pay $15 a month for this game or any fucking monthly fee and ok with a cash shop long as we do not need something like Boston to pick up the shit
the biggest thing that killed Salem the game for me and the second thing in killed it for me not able to teleport home with my stuff to

So that means you think jorb and loftar should have to only get compensation if people buy some optional stuff and that their time poured into this game is not worth a small monthly subscription? Do you realize how minuscule 15 dollars a month is? You could spend more at one meal at a restaurant. That is one meal. And this would be a monthly subscription. Also on top of all this, you happen to be too lazy to remember what direction your home is in? You cannot just teleport home in the real world. So stop whining.

Monthly subscription fee...

...

I would love to see a 'one avatar per account' rule with a monthly subscription fee.
Especially if you couldn't get black skills with a non-subbed account, nor get above a certain level of skills or stats (say 50 or so). (Total, not per stat/skill)

In the event you let your subscription lapse, your ranging skill and black skills wouldn't be able to return for the same duration it takes to have murder scents disappear. (No suddenly revitalizing your power alt to go chase down someone who ganked you, by the time you're able, the scents are gone).

I'm just throwing ideas at the wall here.

Combine an optional monthly subscription fee with purely cosmetic things from a shop, and I think Haven would be well served.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Stuff like this is probably a better way to make money off the game tbh (or a one time cost with additional stuff like this if needed). It's hard to get people in the door with a subscription fee. If i saw this game 3 years ago or whenever it was i signed up and it had a subscription fee i know i would've closed the website and never looked back, and i'm probably not alone in that. Just my 2 cents.

why not just suggest a pay 2 win format and be done with it?

I always try to be positive or constructive when i reply here but its is a bit hard with some suggestions.

First of all a pay only system in Haven would be its death nail. There is not a large enough player base, the over all group can be fickle on what they want, and there is not enough name recognition to maintain a steady stream of players to replace those who would drop out.

Paying per avatar is another game killer as it makes Haven pay to win and those who can't fall behind and leave due to frustration.

Haven's best chance at being sustainable comes from a free player base that can compete, a subscription service that nets you special items or abilities/content, a game shop which allows any user to buy unique or customizable objects, and finally a system that allows free players to work with paying players to acquire items.

Well all know and hear those that come and go, those that leave if they don't get what they want, or threaten the community. Haven simply needs more people. And those people need to stay in decent numbers. without a sustainable or growing player base there will always be limits. Any measure to limit player base will be destructive.

Personally I hop Jorb and Loftar are not putting all their eggs in one basket here and focus on wide cash acquisition.
