A word of advice when uploading images: don't post minimaps. That might attract griefers and attention-seeking scum.

It sounds like you are progressing nicely and the are you've found does sound pretty nice. I just have a feeling that which you may think is a mine is probably a cave... but I hope you are right, you would certainly have hit the jackpot if you are. ;)

A mine of cave I really don't know yet and there is so much to do out in the world that I have not had time to decend into its depths.

Thanks for the tip on the mini map though I had already screened one without it for that very reason, people can be dicks when you least expect it.

Hey man! Good luck to you. I'm in the same situation as you - a noobie - with a tiny little log cabin camp, and also like you I found an abandoned farm to get a boost haha. I've only played for a few hours but I found some leather and made a backpack which is awesome. Anyway let us know how you get on :D

two more pieces of leather lest to cure and then I will have my first backpack too. I am currently working really hard to find enough bones and tap root to get all of the things I need for the Palisade I want around my plot but thankfully because I have built into a cliff I will only need half of the normal wall costs to get it done. Even so tap root is still tricky at the moment - not because it is hard to find but just because I keep getting jumped on my ruddy boars! I need to spend a day or so just leeching around my area to raise my health back to full but at least there is always plenty to do.

What have you been getting up to Shask? Maybe we can help one another as we both stumble about this place.

Haha. I'm really addicted to this game.

Palisade already? I'm probably doing it wrong, but I haven't even got a fence. My little hut is in the middle of nowhere - I have yet to see another player who isn't asleep - and I seriously doubt anyone will stumble across it. I'm not setting in for the "long term", though, because I simply built it where my first hearth fire was, i.e. with no strategic thought!

My little hut is quite silly, because it's all very primitive but I've made myself a sturdy bed - I luckily found 5 pieces of linen required in an abandoned house, haha.

Right now I'm just looking for some clay. My hermit hut is ages from any water source, sadly. What about you?

Well I have to travel for about 10-15 min to get to the big lake in the north but it is really worth it as not only is there a huge good quality deposet of clay up there but like I said there is also a kiln too. So what I tend to do is head off with nothing but two pieces of cooked rabbit and my tree equipment in toe (bone saw and stone axe). The reason for the rabbit is because I have to cross a big swamp to get to the lake so I get covered in leeches but so long as I keep my food bar high they do me more good then harm.

Once I get to the clay lake I build a crate by the kiln and then start making what ever it is I want. Once the crate is full I just lift it up and then harth port back home with a stock full of new goodies.

Haha, I heard pottery is good for LP too. I like fishing the most, personally

I have yet to try fishing yet but I have found an uber abanndoned - all the seeds I could ever want as well as really high quolity stuff to. Bringing it back was a pain though (I could have stayed there and repaired the place but I have grown fond of my woodland home. I even now have a Bull and two rams. Just got to get my Pally wall up now - should start it today.

heheh good luck :) I was once a hermit and it grew to a duet with a friend and then evolves into a village with some nice people. Thing that really pumped out LP is building your fields early and making them big for LP farming.

Suggest a small field of each type of crop for increasing quality over time, but then larger fields for LP farming where you dont need to "sort" seeds. once your better crop jumps up like 20q+ you can replant the good seeds in the existing larger fields and repeat =P

Might be slightly less efficient, but saves you a crap load of time... :3
