That is the flimsy argument presented by the inventors of the HP system. It is the only way that the HP system, as a whole, makes any sense.

Yeah, never did like HP. :?

Except in D&D4E, it's a lot more dynamic in that.

I hope that losing that alt hurt JTG very much. As much as it did when he lost Goku. I wasnt there personally when he flipped out, but i wish i was :P

Also, his stealth was good, but far from great. I have 6 exploration and 18 PER, yet noticed some of his clues around my place when i was robbed (see gourmet thief thread), and another ranger found tons of them.

Yeah, his stealth wasn't high in any real sense. I'd call myself middling at best at Exploration (Perception's decent though), and the entire insides of the stockade basically reeked of Eustace Tilley for me.
