It doesnt? What did it do the past 24ish hours?

It crashed once and stayed crashed. The severity is often much less intense though and today was, I'm fairly confident in saying, an outlier from what we have seen in the last few months. More often we see one, maybe two, shorter crashes in a day. Sometimes as short as a few minutes, often times no more than an hour or two. Very often we're not even online for when they happen.

On a completely unrelated note, I can't figure out for the life of me why everyone wants a reset so badly. You will not actively gain Anything beneficial from a reset. If anything, it strips you of your capacity to trade for better goods and to establish yourself quickly. I want to say newbies would be hurt the worst from this but hell, I'm pretty sure most vets don't want to go through remaking Everything all over again. It's tough work finding a good spot and building it up. I'm sure this falls on deaf ears though as everyone is 100% sure that some obscure raider with 900+ str is lurking just in the shadows to break their walls and steal their q10 wheat seeds and they won't be safe until there's a reset. I'm also sure that everyone who demands a reset thinks they actually stand a chance at catching up and keeping up with the progression of experienced players who know the in's and the out's of the game.

Edit: One last thing that I'm sure of, everyone who wants a reset is entirely confident that a reset will give them a metal mine. Good luck with that one.

I want a reset because it means a ton of new stuff. Hopefully, this includes an improved terrain generator. And starting from scratch is kinda fun.

Okay, I'll admit that's actually a good reason to look forward to a reset. You've got me beat =)

That's the first good reason I've heard for a reset so far. All other people I saw who want resets mostly only whine about mines.

Alot of people have everything they need, they dont need anything else. All thats left for them is to grind stats. A reset gives them something to do. There is no real high level content in this game aside for player conflict, however the game has little incentive to start conflict. so usually people need a really good reason to raid a village.

You don't need to reset the whole server to give people something to do. They can just start a new character and call it a day. And if they don't want to start a new character then they either still want to play their current character or starting a new one would bring no fun to them. In both cases a server reset without actual new content wouldn't help.

So we see, resets without new content additions make no sense.

When a reset happens I'm going to be scourning all the supergrids in search of a goldmine and in the process of looking for one I'm going to be claiming and palisading every iron line I find. I'm fairly confident that within one week all good mines will be taken because I'm sure as hell not going to be the oly one exploring.

Also if a reset happens before I get q200 bones I'm going to be sad.

You can get q200 bones from X bears right now :P

But seriously, is anyone even close to that? I barely have q100 bones from chickens, and sheep are in low 80s. It'd take additional three-four months to breach q200.

I would assume you guys have cows that are at q120 already? Unless you let em die of course :p With a few lucky generations that's just a month or 3 away.
