How pissed would u be of Char. wipe in World 4?

I completely agree. I mean the best thing that happened lately was rages char getting wiped. Such things shouldn't be the peak of political drama.

Even if those were fixed, with everyone so spread out would we begin to see any real trade, conflicts between cultures over land and resources?

or would everyone remain in their own little boring corner of the world with access to everything they could ever need, occasionally sending out little bullshit 'salt the earth' raiding parties with no real purpose beyond drama and fucking over the other guy

yeah i would like a character wipe because then everyone is at the same start and you dont have to be the guy that has alot of lower stats than some guys

Devs have Very recently and very explicitly stated that there is no plan for a reset any time in the near future. Get ready to be stuck with us for a few months barring some horrible game ending bug/exploit.

As for the political climate, I'm way too much of a newbie to make a comment remotely worth reading but I agree that there is a degree of stagnation that occurs then escalated as time goes on. Simply put, there are no raiders and there is no pressure on us to advance to out compete others. The worst that has happened in the last two months in my supergrid was some newbie stealing from one of my newbies and some butthurt about it on both sides. Woop dee doo. This means there is no pressure to always have one up on the world -- you just bunker down behind your walls with your shitty q80 bronze armor and q160 slings and chill. Short of being paranoid, the lack of necessity for a military industrial complex means most of the end game is unnecessary unless you enjoy the way it looks and have something of a fetish for big numbers.

The high level people should start a war. Recruiting noobs, leading armies, trying to kill the other high level dude in his ivory tower. This would be interesting to see.

Except that this is impossible to do. This is what I meant by walls being the problem. You will never get into one of the bigger cities, not until the first faction gets a brickbreaker and wrecks all others.

Problem with that is that it can't be powered by hordes of noobs. A war should thrive on hordes of noobs... Can't come up with a good plan though.

Perhaps one should try to take a smaller town first, which might have a crossroads to the larger town. Failing that, one could try infiltrating the target town with a guy who would then open the gates. Or if opening gates is impossible, the infiltrator could quickly build a crossroads somewhere hidden and connect it.
