It would suck even if we could enforce it. Why should people be allowed to play only one character? Really?

I'm not suggesting it, just like the OP isn't suggesting permadeath. I'm just saying, how would it work in theory, and in a perfect world where it was 100% enforcable.

It never ceases to amaze me how people continually persist in suggesting that police state behaviors are a good thing. Fucking brainwashed fascists. At the pinnacle of evolution there are always those who live in fear and promote stagnation with superstitious stories of bygone and discarded eras.

The OP wasn't talking about what th gameworld would be like with permadeath, it already has it.

And no alts would make the decision between full nature and full industry much harder

Chill out Chak, out of weed again? It's possible to discuss what effect a one character per person limit would have on the game without endorsing such a limit.

Actually, 1 char per account is actually a good idea. It would keep the people who disrupt the trade fluency by being independent at bay, at least to some point. Until they find out you can make multiple accounts, haha

I think you mean "voilà". And, of course, it is possibly to discuss the usage of French without endorsing it. :)
