Go look in the Sodom trade thread. You can buy a <q90 bar of bronze or iron for a q10 yarn. Obviously that stuff is super valuable, I mean, who's ever heard of q10 yarn?

It doesn't make the game harder to have an infinite supply of metal that can be controlled by the lucky, it just makes it more tedious for the people who aren't lucky enough to find a mine. If you enjoy tedium, don't let it bother you, but the rest of the games population might not enjoy it.

If you got a problem with the distribution of wealth, why don't you redistribute it by force?

Yes, I have never had a mine, dealt with metal or traded with anyone.

Here's proof of me not ever having metal.

Got anything to contribute beyond 'I have metal, don't let anyone else ever have it!'?

Not that kind of ignorance, I'm talking about your ignorance about all the work that goes into producing the end products and all the tedium.
And all the work that goes into reaching that level of Q, don't forget that most of the big trader cities have been around for a long time and it's taken them all that time to reach a certain Q.

I was also referrign to your economic ignorance, because you yourself have proven that if everyone had a mine they wouldn't have to trade for it,a s you yourself have done.
Im not out on a personal vendetta, I'm just saying this idea will almost 100% not be implemented.

I covered that in the original post.

Keyrings/keys/scythes/pickaxes/cellars aren't affected by quality at all. If I can walk up to Sodom with 20 yarn, I'll have enough for all of that list. High quality weapons/armor/bars-for-building etc I have no problem with trading for, just like any other high quality item. Convenience items like scythes/pickaxes/keyrings etc aren't worth travelling a supergrid or two away for, just to trade some yarn to get. Why not let people get those items for themselves via another method? (Or having alternative constructions as was mentioned instead of metal.)

which has already been suggested and they are already planning to implement. i don't think ive seen a single original idea lately

I, uh... "Hay guis, I think the game could be changed a bit. <insert specifics>" "Pfft, people have said the game could be changed a bit, abloo abloo, have an original idea!" I have an original idea for you Jackard: You're intelligent, charming and witty. I doubt anyone will have ever thought that before, so you're safe, you can be interested now.

you may think yourself clever but this, too, is rather trite

just so you know this is already implemented via the ancestral worship system of praying for a nugget and is also planned to possibly have additions such as bog iron and panning for metal as well as a major overhaul to the mining system

that being said you also don't have to travel that far to trade, sodom and ad are not the only people selling things and there are, in fact, multiple mines in every supergrid. maybe go explore and meet your neighbors instead?

My god, everyone never actually reads anything written.....

Could one of you Mods please just move this topic far away? I'm tired of everyone's short sightedness..... I won't be playing for a long while, I bid you adieu.
