If it's death you're worrying about, instead of QQ-ing you should try to join a well established village. Being in the game for 2 weeks now, you must have learned the basics of the game so a village might see you as an asset

And listen to Burg, dying is an all to well known factor in this game and you will have a much easier time the 2nd and every other subsequent time you start over.

I think everyone should have their main character killed after an introductory period, just so they understand what they are getting into.

Agreed. The death of my first main character was the best experience I've had in this game so far. I learned a lot from it.
