Any good hunting stories?

I was travelling along a river near my village, patrolling for theif scents and the like, and the god of the hunt smiled upon me. Four heard of sheep and three heards of cows had spawned right across the river from a rock that was accessible from my boat. Me and my q200 sling set to work, and two hours later i had more LP than i could have dreamed of getting that day, and our larder was stocked with sausage for near a month.

Then there was the first bear i killed. I sat in a boat building initiative and then hopped out, used opportunity knocks untill its defense was gone then stabbed it in the face till it ran, then chased it and punched it till it died. I never though i'd be able to kill a bear at that point. I proved myself wrong.

I've yet to hunt down a thief that was online to fight back when i found them. Part of me is thankful for this... Though the first time i killed a thief, I summoned him, punched him unconscious, then punched him dead.... It was immensely unsatisfying for my first player kill.....

having been confined on my lil deforested island, with the only 2 boats tucked away on my village mate land, i grew bored and started hunting the herds....more LP then i had had at any 1 time after all was said and done...good hunt today

Bwahahah, lolono. That's loftar's little hunting camp from a world long since lost in the mists of time. I'd found it while walking around, cow raided it and drew a smiley in capes to gloat!

I actually managed to kill my first bear single-handed the other day. Had nothing but a sling and some linen clothes, if it tells you anything. Level 9 bear, plus there was a friggin' deer hiding out somewhere waiting to heal it. I got knocked out a couple times, but eventually I shot it enough to chase the bear away from the deer's heal-zone and straight into a pack of aurochsen that I proceeded to kill after the first job was done.

Bear was surprisingly high-quality. First bear I've ever killed and it came out with Q56 meat and skin and Q100 teeth and bones.

Although I still find deer irritating. Even at MMS 41 I can't seem to shoot fast enough to take them out.

I was hunting a bear, but I got tired, so I tricked him into standing behind a stump.

I then had a tea break, while he tried to get around the stump, and when I was well-rested, I feathered him to death.

Ah, old times.
