I think it could use some more fixing up, I had a fox run through a fence as I was chasing it.

I'll admit, it's nice to see the peace/aggro button actually doing something now.

Still, I'd personally like it if we had some way to keep the animals from running away so quickly. I hit a fox once and he was out of there. Would be nice to perhaps have some combat-maneuver that would at least slow a creature down. Also, snares would be really cool to implement here.

4x4 Bear traps that you can also use for protection against theives would be awesome.

Pit falls, a net, or really any practical traps would be great.
...Though it would kind of suck because people might make a gigantic wall of pitfalls a certain radius around the ring.
Maybe it could be set so that players would only get caught in them if criminal acts was set on..

..Also, since I can't tell, is the game down?

Indeed, a rabbit running off the map crashed the server. I did actually think this would be prevented by animal despawning, seeing how the edge of the map is always unseen by players, but apparently not so. I've added a failsafe now that I hope will do the job.

Thank you Loftar. Also, I doubt anyone has ever said this, but your name reminds me of the Orcish saying ""Lok'tar ogar!" = "Victory or Death!" from the Warcraft series.

I don't know if this is the case (haven't been playing much), but perhaps animals shouldn't all run away. They should run away when overpowered, but if the animals are doing damage, I think that they might instead try and finish off their opponent, and only run when they're much closer to death.

I agree. I haven't been able to come up with a good criterion for escaping quite yet. At least I made it less probable that they escape, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
