LP nerfed for animals?

I think it's fine. Obviously the LP was way too much before. Being a hunter now will be a lot more challenging due to danger and the time it takes to find quarry rather than seeing how many cupboards you can fill with deer and bear meat.

There are plenty of ways to get LP and hunting is one of the more "grindy" ones because you just do it nonstop. The old LP rate doesn't make it any less of a grind because nobody stops at a certain LP point, they're always trying to be better than the other guy. If the other guy is out grinding animals then you have to keep doing it too. Reducing LP from animals and the number you can find gives you a choice to do other things for LP instead because the other guy isn't getting an obscene amount of LP anymore.

It was of course the right decision to nerf the lp and everyone who is arguing about it is just butthurt. I was hunting the whole time myself, because there was nothing better to get lp from, but your personal char development aside you people should sometimes try and have a look at the big picture.

Also, the job is absolutely zero risk, since we all know boars and bears are for shooting from the safe comfort of your boat.

That's something that should change. I used to hunt on foot in world 3 but now I wonder if I'll ever be able to do it again... it's too scary to think of lagging out and dying. Boat hunting is, and always has been, pretty cheesy. But now foot hunting is heavily discouraged while boat hunting has never been a better idea.

Ah, if only that were so. The challenge still goes away once you put on metal armor. Or just hunt from a boat.
