Because in real life you totally get a warning about "Hey, if you steal from this guy and make it easy as piss to track you, maybe he'll take revenge". That's totally how it works.

You people never understand that this game is meant to reflect real-life happenings. You steal in real life, you're punished for it. Simple as that. They don't have to warn you.

The wiki really should have this information, but it's always been a bit unreliable.

Warning or not, it's your choice to play a dishonest character that robs other people of their progress.

If you're so inexperienced as to not know you could be summoned without a hearth, what were you doing raiding people with enough experience to become Rangers?

You've learned a valuable lesson. Now quit crying and pick easier targets next time.

<mightyagrippa> man the forums are awful
<mightyagrippa> some guy points out that there's no doc in game or on wiki about hearthless summoning
<mightyagrippa> everyone says QQ
<mightyagrippa> jackard is voice of reason
<mightyagrippa> it's madness

<mightyagrippa> hey Jackard ban everyone in that thread who is fine with unspoken/written rules
<mightyagrippa> and tell them it's because of an unspoken/written rule

tempting, but no

Him dying is not an "unwritten rule". He was simply careless and got killed. Shit happens. Move on!

While I sympathise with the loss of his character, why does he continue to complain about it? The situation was explained to him, so now he should understand what went wrong. In the end, it was his own fault even if he didn't realise it.

In the wise words of a great man: "Why so serious?"
