I'll admit that I'm an HnH Noob, but trying hard to learn how not to become a victim of my own stupidity. So, I want to thank you for posting this because I was just about to start construction of my new Timber House on the river and now... I'm going to pack up and go far, far away....

Note: I bet it was you who stole all my rabbit furs from my 6 drying frames earlier. As fucking hard as it is to find rabbits, that stunt put me back several hours, but It's all good as that taught me another valuable lesson, but I'll keep that to myself.

my homes near a lake. Any time i leave i take anything i don't want stolen from me. I encourage my neighbors to pillage my zone too, as I do not currently have yeomanry.

I've been only 1/2 an asshole. I've put fresh hides in frames in place of the dry ones I took, and only if the hearth fire was offline (I figured it wouldn't make much of a difference to them if they were sleeping!).
