Could some1 answer my 1st riddle,

I spit like bacon,
I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I am long like a flagpole, yet fit in a hole,
What am I?

Riddles like this are dumb because they can be so many different things. Wind? Clouds? Light? Sound? Words? Every one of them is technically correct save from the fact that they're not what you had in mind.
