Nah, it's just not something I'm up for. I enjoy being on the opposite side of the spectrum much more. I won't say "good" because no one is really good but I don't like to be the big, bad raider either.

There just needs to be a village to rise up that actually strikes fear in to people's hearts when they hear the name. Most people don't agree but I think AD did a good job of this in W3. This world however they fucked off and all that remains is this shitty "Russian Alliance" and they just suck.

IMO they did better in W4.
W3 Sodom was an established force from the beginning, keeping it under control a bit and no big fights were actually fought until reset day, while W4 the butthurt threads were too many to read :).

Yeah, I agree.

I guess this world every major village seems to be allied so no one is really fighting each other. I've found out last world and this world that raiding is fucking exciting and if more people were doing it I think the world would seem a little bit better than it does now. Not to say that I don't enjoy it anyways of course.

People really like giving it hard to the guys that use the bugs but let's be honest it just adds more drama and drama is always exciting.

I think curiosities revealed the superficiality and general suck of the skill values system -- it's just a dumb number -- and I think the game needs a way to reward time spent playing in a non-macroable way.

But, yes. Curios rule.

I do agree on that and think Curios rule, I've just not gotten to understand the most of it yet :)

I've had more fun raiding in the past few days than I did in most of W3.

And I'm talking about after bug use.

Also found a very nice way to mine in groups.

I've seen a few ideas tossed around, but I understand not wanting to try them all willy inlly.

Yes, understood,.. ah I dont know what the real problem is for me anyway cant explain it right :)
Edit: Might have to do with epic curios like the riverpearl giving 5k/1hour, where I easily farmed +-20k in 10 minutes hunting (one herd aurochsen, a bear or two) and that was at very least.

You can make much more LP a day with the new system than with the old one. I am already past my LP total I had after a year of world 3...

this is actually my first time on this world that i ever managed to buy all available skills.
so yeah, the curio system has made it a lot easier to earn LPs, if we dont mind the very steep learning curve, that is.

anyway, to OP, i do understand what you mean, i tried to find the reason by a stupid approach and failed.
my friends have lost motivation to play on without knowing why themselves.

probably this is it. i really hope your new plan will embody that.
