rings > necklace > trade good

5k LP isn't worth nearly as much as the things you can use pearls to buy. Because they're so useful, AND have use as a curio, they will always be in high demand with the richer villages. Using them to trade for better clay -> better kiln -> better smelter -> better metal -> better metal curios (permanently better). Heck maybe you can even start selling your metal for more curios like flotsams, eidelveiss, and *gasp* pearls!

Necklace > Studied pearls as long as you expect to be alive in 9 days.

Explanation:

Assuming Q10 pearls -> 20 x 5000LP = 100k

100k x 3.6 = 360K LP (without a necklace, full change and peace)

Pearl necklace gives 40% flat learning bonus (+ an extra 40% of the Base LP of a curio)

100k = Base LP to recover cost x 0.4
Base LP to recover cost = 250k

250k base experience or 900k (full change full peace) experience to earn it back.

To give you an idea, based on my rough village experiences with this system, that would take no more than 9 days to repay. 100k LP per day is quite easy to obtain even for the poorer villages as long as they're able to forage effectively and have the int for the better crafted curio types. Don't have the int and too poor for jorb? Not many people fishing these days. Make an alt character, grub dirt/rocks/twigs until you get the LP for fishing, hand him a fishing pole. Lure fish while afk, if someone griefs and kills him all you lost is a boat and 4 minutes of time. That's rare though. Mostly you get inventories full of little effort fish.

40% base at q10. It can get better, but getting enough pearls of higher than q10 is a long term goal. It may not even be worth the wait and just use the better ones for pearl rings.

Better to save for pearl rings now, goldbeater's already increase rings enough and having a few higher quality ones won't make as big a difference in your rings as it will in your necklace.

Sounds like you're contradicting yourself...?
