In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the rangers who track scents and the forumgoers who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Hahaha oh wow.
Do you want see right through the devil's eyes?
You must have seen the ground where they all stood before
I was a young man then, I was a young man then
Spending my time on the killing floor
Be more than you seem to be
Joy of labour sets you free.

How can one man hold off say 15-20 people while building/using a ram? I only ask because I have never had the chance to take part in a siege. Do range weapons do that little vs armor if you have about 10 people shooting at a single target?

1)From the inside he only need worry about rangers
2)No one will camp a ram (Leading to 3)
3)All that one person has to do is get to the ram before it dries, and break it.
4)Idol/Charterstone jumping is still and probably always will be possible until loftar finds that it's enough of a damn abuse and boost to defense that it needs to go
5)You can run around and such on the inside to avoid ranger's bows, few (pretty sure it's 0) rangers can shoot a Running(Speed 3) target, 100% sure 0 can shoot a Sprinting one, if you run and use 'sharp turns', no one can shoot you at Speed 3.

Therefore, raiding a brickwall is fucking annoyingly near impossible.

Annoying to raid a wall, yes. However, it seems to me that the problem is with the player base. The system should not allow or make it easy for 5 people to siege a brick wall. A siege is just that a siege. You put together a team to protect the RAM at in which different groups take turns guarding it. Once it is ready the rest of you forces come in to start the active part of your siege. Yes maybe the rams could use a buff so once you have it, it takes lets about about 2-6 hours depending on Q of the ram and the people using it. I would really hate to put weeks into building a village with a brick wall only to go to sleep and log on 16 hours later to find my village has been destroyed.

My first online RPG was Asheron's Call (sp) and even tho we did not build villages we claimed areas. When another clan would invade that area we would end up fighting for days until one side was completely demoralized by losing items and their charters' stats were greatly reduced thus causing them to move out. My point is that it should take a great deal to destroy a well built village not an over night raid.

You do realize that this means you have to have superior force at each and every moment of these 24h, while the defender is guaranteed to have his maximum numbers during a sally? And you do realize that people have real lives? 8h for work, 8h for sleep, 2h for commute, that leaves 6 free hours. Let's be generous and assume that the besiegers have no friends, girlfriends, wives, relatives or anyone else who might distract them from their primary purpose in life - playing H&H. That still means that you have to have at the very least 4 times the number of the defenders, and all of your guys must be willing to just stare at their screen and do nothing for those 6h. And as a guy who had to serve in the military, I can guarantee you that being a guard is the single most mind-numbingly boring job in the world. Oh yeah, and these guys must also be perfectly distributed across timezones. And that's just to get even numbers, and nobody in his right mind seeks a battle where he doesn't have the upper hand.

So yeah, if it's so damn easy, why don't you go ahead and make us all look like fools by pulling off a siege?

Justice system:

1: Find scents, track them.
2: Examine the area. If
-They are online, give them an arrow up the butt.
-they are offline, but their HF is in the open, summon then pelt them with stones
-They are offline, and have their HF inside and a palisade/brickwall, camp a ram and then break wall, charge in and give him your sword. In his face
3: Put a drama post on In Congress Assembled.
4: Hide in a cavevault until murder scents go away.

Avu wrote:There is justice and lots of it just that there is no absolute value system that says this is justice and this is not. Killing he who has done harm to you and yours is justice for you, his buddies killing your entire town as a result is justice for them. Russian morons knocking people down asking the target in cyrilic if they're russian then killing all (since none can respond when knocked down) is justice for the great crimes done against the russian fagtown of world 2 (that town was a fucking mess a crime against aesthetics if there ever was one and klaue brought justice to them for the affront of stealing his bandwith) as there was justice each time someone killed klaue ever since for him being a fucking douchebag backstabbing traitor scum.

Sure many of these reasons for justice may seem silly or retarded to one part or another of the populace but thats how the world works. There's no real incentive to go out and hunt all the bad people even if someone could agree who those were exactly. We don't have unmanned drones or nukes, or bomber planes, nor do ingame armies ever resemble real life ones which don't log out for dinner or homework or work or girlfriend and what is that the siege has been lifted due to lack of people?

everyones justice
