How tough are bears?

I wonder if any MELEE fighter managed to kill bears already. (besides devs who spawn themselves axes)

I'm not a dev and all I've got is a Militia Sword. :)

you say that.. but i saw you get knocked out by a bear...

I guess i can handle the bears in our ring, but the ones in Mordor knocked me out in two hits (>100hp).

i havent come across bears yet, but foxes are enough of a problem around clayshire.
finding it hard to make the lp required to raise combat skills. i went melee, purely on the thought that i cba to make loads of arrows. did i do the wrong thing?

Without pathfinding, ranged has a big advantage because they never really have to worry about losing. Mele will make a come-back though.

I had less than 10 shp when I engaged it. ;)
And the bears out there are a bit strong for me atm, working on it though.

But good news!
Loftar has prioritized pathfinding, so hopefully you'll soon get knocked out too. :D
