What deadly said.. It's always lulzy when your raping a village, and the people decide to log in, and start freaking out. Or when you rape a village from the inside, then try to play it off, and they beleive you and you get to watch them freaking out. It's just, fun. IRL I feel bad for anything and everyone, but here, I'm a cold blooded killer. If I find you spying in my village I KO you, then play with you, maybe put leeches for you, and watch you beg for life. Tell you that it was an accident and to spawn again, then rekill you. It's just fun.

A few are psychopathic (hi nao) but usually it's not lack of empathy that does it but small cock syndrome; you see they realize (or repress) they're little shits in real life that will never amount to anything truly great or memorable so they need to fool themselves into thinking they are worth squat and the only way to stroke their epeen is by trashing other peoples work. I guess in their ape-brains taking control from someone else equals taking control of your own shit which sadly it does not. They get a temporary high from it and maybe even some e-fans that look up to this apogee of internet accomplishment.

Don't get me wrong killing people for their resources makes perfect sense, destroying an enemies town so he can't fuck with you anymore is often necessary doing it for the lulz is another matter.

This is a perfectly legitimate reason to get murder and rage. If you haven't noticed there is no end to the number of little pricks who like to harass you and your friends. I mean, there's a reason we build walls and establish claims. Sometimes just hiding our things and ourselves isn't enough. Sometimes it's nice to be proactive and to really kick the shit out of someone who's been fucking with your farmer by throwing stones at him.

It must be noted that thieves and murderers in this game are usually completely different people. I never kill anyone, but when I see useful stuff left unprotected, I steal it. Just a case of getting resources in an easy way. If you don't like it, protect it properly.

Because they see it as there way of playing the game...that’s about it really. I wish it was more complicated than that but it's not. I like playing the game and making my way in the world. Yeah most every one steals at first (some never stop) but I don't, and I don’t see a need to once you get thing's together and dont need it in the first place.

Now in words of an active war going on and there's fighting with side's been drawn out...well, thats just, "to the victor goes the spoils." Nothing wrong with that kind of looting if you ask me. Some times it's balanced on both sides, some times it's not.

Yes, why do they grief/murder?
I want to know that myself.
just a few hours ago 2 bear cloaked dudes trashed why settlement even destroyed my bed. so i asked them why? they said that I'm too close to their clay patch lol. I'm actually pretty far and that thing HUGE, and there are 3 other settlements closer to it. then they want me to move out then start claiming.
after a long talk they agreed that I get to pack up and leave. so i thought ok, at least they didnt kill me. its not like i have anything valuable unless they enjoy urns full of apples.
so i left dragging my cart. after 30 minutes i have not seen a good place to stay or any of the other villages that answer back on my call.
and suddenly those 2 are actually stalking me. then beat me up. so I asked, "you got what you want, and have an agreement, why attack me?"
and guess what's their reply? "I dont know"
HOLY S**T, that's very messed up lol. after hours of being beaten everytime i get up i made fun of them until they got tired and ran off.

anyway, I'm taking a break from this game or maybe I'll quit, dunno yet. Being spawn killed by a boar. and I just found out to last long in this game you need to be with friends or with a community. But I live on the other side of the world so I cant catch you guys playing lol.

edit: and the game is very very time consuming. its not grinding like the others but everything just takes too long.
