First, I was joking. The timers are annoying for people who actually have a real life, but it's not bothering me that much.
Second, I'm still playing the game and will continue to do so until I can't fit it into my gaming time anymore.

Even if I'm very critical over this game doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.

and I get your point grable.everytime I look in the forum I wonder how people can enjoy the game while taking it so fucking seriously.bots, scripts, timers etc etc

I think I will never understand the motivation of people that need to win no mather what it takes and invest so much energy and time in it.

Man, you guys work too hard at this game... some of those "timers" you mention aren't even necessary if you have a village with people on around the clock, but no, few people want to do that. Or they don't want to provide access to too many things for fear of the wrong person ripping off the village. (Yes, I realize it's for good reason. It's just too easy to fake credentials on the net, even more so in a game, so I'm in complete agreement. I'm just saying that because it IS one of the most annoying aspects of group play in MMOs in general.)

My point about the alarms: any of you played Travian or one of the other MMORTS games? They're fun for about as long as it takes to go insane from the complete lack of sleep you develop trying to time attacks and defense. The timers in this game are very easily managed (as long as the server doesn't go down and messes up the rhythm).
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I've played Evony and I KNOW that feeling, though no one in evony has every broken tru or remotely dented my defence b4 i bore-quited with like a million Archers in each of my cities.

Ender has timer functions with stop when server stops so it is very handly for steel and raid timers so it isnt even that bad.

They're not that easily managed if you want to be any good at this game or are a casual player.

Meh ... Sorry, I was in a poor mood after a long day of work in the rain...

As to timers etc...I have yet to use one....I try not to take the game too seriously...and keep it to just being a game instead of a lifestyle...lol

I do the same mate, but sometimes it's hard to have nice things without timers.
