Having just got killed by some random fellow who showed up in endgame gear and put a 500 dmg arrow between my eyes I was wondering if you more experienced hearthlings can offer any advise how to escape one of those randomly compensating people?

I -really- want to get into this game but every time I get close to getting yeomanry or anything to defend myself someone attacks and murders me

It's best to live in the abandoned or low population parts of HnH... that's how I'm so fortunate.

I once killed a noob, just to watch her die. I also spelled "LOL" with items in her cupboards and left a runestone about the evildoings of the Dark Lord Shenbatu, why people should fear him, etc.

Shenbatu was a former member of Sodom who turned evil and became a ruthless bloodlord (warlord, just extra blood thirsty and mean). He rapes people. Hard. And doesn't afraid of a thing.

NotSure wrote:Ive read through the forums and have noticed that a lot of people love to hunt and kill random new players. Since the server is down I figured I'd post this to get more in touch with the mindset of a noob hunter.

What is it that drives a person to kill a noob?
What does one gain from killing a noob?
What is your preferred method of killing a noob?

(Also this isn't a complaint thread, Although I am a new player I have not yet had the luck of meeting one of these people yet, I'd just like to understand this phenomenon so that in the event I do encounter one I would better understand them and maybe even survive the ordeal.)

Please be as detailed as you can, This thread is for purely scientific purposes.

people love killing other people

Also if ya want some advice,, dont build near water ,,, noobs seem to do that for some reason

Until you've tasted newbie blood you can't understand the motives. At first it's the adrenaline spike when you're waiting for a dumb newbie behind his shitty settlement to club him in, afterward it just gets more fun and fun.

The trick about doing this without getting bored/remorseful is doing something in between, like farming for your village or whatever H&H chores you picked out.
