There isn't really much to say about prices.

Troll Skulls are one of the most desired items by rich players in big factions and that's the only audience they are intended to be sold to since it is very unlikely someone else can amass the resources to buy them. I know Tina and I know that it took quite a while to sell their trull skull for a smaller amount of higher quality clay. I really doubt anyone will pay 50 pearls for a skull though. There is simply no way an idividual player can *easily* aquire so many pearls. If you have a x-road to a nice secluded lake with broad shores gathering mussels for pearls becomes more convenient to farm them but you'd still have to go out a whole lot. And personally I think it's one of those mindnumbing tasks that only few people will be willing to do frequently.

The only real options would be to acquire them through raiding, by getting pearl contributions from other players or through trading. I can't say much about raiding but I also doubt you get many pearls from raiding palisaded people and most people with a brickwall probably have alts or vaults to store their valuables away safely. It still seems the most likely option. Getting pearls from other players poses the question what they get in return and as such it's rather safe to assume nobody will give up on his pearls for free unless it's for the gain of a whole community (not the case with troll skulls obviously). And trading doesn't yield as many pearls as some people may make you believe. Again I have to stress that I know Tina and I was told people don't pay with pearls too often. Most of the time they pay pearls for very expensive goods like golden jewelry only. Getting 50 pearls through trading would take a long time and the goods that are sold usually belong to a community which means the pearls are not exactly to be used for personal reasons in the first place.

My own group paid 42 pearls and some other stuff for a q 300 troll bone saw early this world. So 50 pearls is a viable price but only for a good that benefits a whole group where everyone is willing to bring something to the table. Back then we thought it was expensive but worth it.

In conclusion: getting 50 pearls for a troll skull is rather unlikely unless you use black channels like a foraging bot or shady deals outside the game. And the intention of the thread was probably to make that clear anyway. It's based on a likely assumption but there is no way to prove these practices. As such it is a rather pointless thread.
It would be a (tiny) little bit more helpful if ambiguous comments like "If you dont see something in list that you can to offer - pm me, that can be discussed. " get picked up and deleted (plus user warning or ban in case it happens again). Of course it also isn't really a solution.

Well, as Patch stated and I agree with him there a bone is worth much more than a skull imo. Well, a slong as there aren't too many floating around.

As I said, if you were interested in really discussing such things (which you are not, you simply want to troll me for the sake of it) then let us take it to pms.

@Projeaar: I wouldn't ever close a thread like this. The forums are not your personal blog and that was mostly the reason when your threads got locked. We don't need this to be another 4chan, reddit or whatever. The internet has enough of those and the internet has enough blogs. This thread is about an in game topic that is a big part of the game, yet is somehow rarely discussed. I don't see why to lock this thread?

in reality, one selling 15 gold nuggets and another selling 90 pearls at one time are different stories to me.

Last world I ended up having more pearls than what I needed to equip my villagers with robs and pearl necklaces. I would have sold 50 pearls for a troll skull no doubt since I'd have gotten a better chunk of LPs than studying the pearls.
