I was swimming, completely fair, I do it all the time, but then the usual rubber-band happens on my character yet the stamina still counts as if I swam the whole river.

I then drowned. Sigh.

Most I've dropped is mussels and grey clay when I happen to find a flotsam and my inventory is full.

@ the people dropping equipment into the water:
It's a good habit to always shift-click for any equipment changes when you're over the water.

Apoc and I were tracking (I think?) and we saw a noob. I said "Hey!", and he boated off. In an attempt to chase him to meet him, I wanted to disarm my RBow so he wasn't scared. I dropped it in the water. (Q80 RBow, worth around 8~ pearls at the time, then Gunnar sold me another, q95, for 5 pearls.)
