This. This is seriously not a troll, which is unusual for him. Are you ok, reefah? Is the server crash getting to you?

A little

It's ok, the server will be back. In the mean time, kitteh.

And shockingly, the post was addressed to the developers, not the peanut gallery.

I'm well aware of the common problems with online games. I was *curious* as to the particular recently escalating problem here, and hoped the developers might shed some (new) light on it.

I don't get why this forum is so damn angry and unhelpful. Seriously, get a damn hug or something.

@Vengent

The more you reply to them dude, the more they will respond... I can see both sides, its nice to see dev notes and shit, but its a free game.. yadda yadda we have read it all before... but this is a topic that has been about since i started (late W2) and you always get the same replies.

Let sleeping dogs lie and all that :)

My response was solely to the section I quoted. I thought that was obvious, but I guess not.

I thought it was obvious. Vengent obviously hasn't read all the relevant posts or else he'd have never made this thread and would actually listen to what "the peanut gallery" had to say.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Very true. In fact, isn't it a rule on the forums to use the search function before starting new threads about the same old thing?
That's what I love about newbies; I get older, they stay the same age. ;)

There's a point to be made though. We know noobs are going to make these threads, why not try to re-direct their attention in a less annoying way. Having a stickied "Oh no! The Server's Down!" discussion thread has come up before. Has it ever been tried?

Really, its such an inviting community for newcomers, you all should try to be more insulting.

I've read thousands upon thousands of posts on this forum, I spend a great deal of time researching everything before wasting anyone else time.

Yes, there were crashes before.

The past couple of weeks they have been far more frequent, and far longer than in the past.

See the difference? see how "short, weekly" is different from "1-2 times daily, with 5-12 hour downtime".

Now could that possibly have a different root cause? Ya think?

"or if you were in the deep south like Georgia or Mississippi, and your surrounded by a bunch of "rednecks" and "hillbillies" and they all waving thier shotguns and knives and drinking moonshine like it's going out of style. and once again you basically state, "hey fellas, country western music is stupid and Hank Williams Jr. is homosexual" once again how safe you gonna get out there with them not gangraping you?"

I'm not going to say that people like this don't exist, because they do, but they are in such a tiny, infinitesimal part of the population that these goofy stereotypes are more indicative of the ignorance in the world than any redneck COULD be. I was born, raised and lived in the south for almost 40 years now and am personally sick of the media and Hollywood portraying us this way. "Derail off."
