Sorry to bump, but I have some more pictures that people might like to see:
I caught this baby flathead catfish 4-5 days ago, while searching for bait underneath rocks. I would have loved to kept him, but I don't have a tank big enough for him. My molly/guppy hybrids are taking up my biggest tank currently.

My son and I caught a little bluegill Tuesday night, he was excited

Earlier that day playing with my son and some little girl joined us

I'll edit this post with more pictures later. I caught 9 small bluegill last night, my wife caught 2, and my son was too busy playing to catch any. I also caught a Candy Darter, it's endangered and only in this river/drainage. Here's a picture (not my pic tho)

Not to be confused with rainbow darters, which are probably the most common fish in the US that nobody knows of. I caught a bunch of them Tuesday (again the pic here is not mine, i'll upload mine later).

Native fish > Tropical fish
Edit: I'm not able to find my picture of the Candy Darter that I took a few days ago, this really sucks

maybe my wife erased it on accident. Oh, I just remembered, I did not have my camera that day! First time in forever that I left it at home! Next time I'm at the river I'll take some more pics of darters, logperch, and w/e else. My mission is to catch a greenside (pic'd below) darter for my son's fishing tank. They mainly eat snails.
