I've gotten 2 pearls from 2 mussels once, just picked them up randomly.

And my friend picked up his first 7 mussels recently and he found a pearl in one of them

My own best ratio is 3 pearls out of 25 mussels.

Well, I didn't calculate the rest of the (pearls)mussels in my 1:1 ratio, it's just that I got a pearl on the first one, so I guess I lose in this 'contest'.. xD

Raid mussels man. Idk why, but whenever I found mussels while raiding they'd always give me a pearl. One time I found nothing in a base but 2 mussels and 1 of which gave me a pearl :p

I do.

I pick them up as I go along, rather than go out specifically for them, therefore, I wait until I have enough of them to make it worth while standing there and boiling them.

I have cooked over a 1000 mussels, and never got a pearl. I have since refused to ever waste space on clams again.
