Same. It was kind of magical logging on each week and finding some essential aspect of the game had been added.

"We have been developing tonight and here's whats new.... mining."
"We have been developing tonight and here's whats new.... sausages."
"We have been developing tonight and here's whats new.... scents." etc.

I also loved that we had like, what, a world the size of a quarter of a supergrid? That was really cool. Also, we had concentric rings of civilization raidiating outwards from the centre which was marked by the RoB. Which meant that hunters wanted to get further out and farmers tended to want to stay closer in away from bears.

Just look at the vid from the front page... It looks like fun and it was.

the thrill of discovery was pretty cool the first time around...

This was W2 for me for those very reasons and as Burg mentioned, the "ooh what's this, what's that", discovering things for the first time and figuring out how best to apply them. Fantastic.

And pre-boats we were all 'stuck' on an island with a single new player spawn point. There would be less than 100 players online and you were guarenteed to see a friendly face. Wood was arguably the most valuable resource as well as prime real estate. Finding a spot to build and claim your own well even was a challenge.

And as much as so many hated that animals had levels, I loved that, Fox, boars and bears had lvls from I through X and they would only aggro you from lvl III and up. The higher the population density in an area the more timid the animals would be (lower lvl) and the further away, the more Mordor it became. This created depth in animal resource Q. What I brilliant system I thought... most disagreed sadly and argued a fox should be a fox and a boar a boar... their wish got granted and they destroyd Mordor :(

And THIS ^ Oh man, what a day it was when boats got introduced. It was a spontaneous world party. Everyone boating, migrating, loading up shit, hunting down mines, building new villages, smiling, waving, shouting, stealing, getting killed by lvl V animals, drowning... it was epic.

So yeah, W2 for me when everything was new and shiny to me and then a close second W3 for what we managed to achieve and how much 'cleaner' it seemed.

Some of us tried to mess with you guys, it was a poor decision in retrospect. Should've trolled Koya or Portgas instead. I can only imagine all of the farmer alts we would have killed.

Oh god I miss the giant worldsize too. I can't remember if it was it 7x7 sgs or 9x9, but it was much better than the tiny babby maps we've had since then. There were such massive islands and lakes, felt like biomes went on for ages.

World 3 sounds lovely. :)

I didn't arrive 'til W5 so am not really qualified to respond, but, out of that world and this, I love W6! For me, it is where I put what I learnt in W5 to better use and progressed much faster this time round. I have an awesome village, amazing char and i've not died once ................ yet, lol.

I also got over my shyness enough to make friends, all of whom have proved invaluable both in support and in teaching me many more things. I've even had the odd villager, though none really successfully yet - probably my fault for not being communative enough.

I also like the apocalyptic feel of this world, love exploring the ruins and have had time to be a bit more creative, both in improving the village and in brick art - - yes, I know I suck at it, but thats not the point. :)

I've read through most of the archives and I sooo wish I could have been here from the start, I can't even imagine getting regular updates, lol, must have been so exciting.

Still, as much as I don't want this world to end, I am still looking forward to W7, just purely from the viewpoint of what i've learnt this world.

@AAlex - better village design for one. :P

I am still looking back at the time I started playing.
The lovely world 3. At the time you are still a noob its way more fun to play then when you have got good stuff already.
At that time we where still walking around and getting killed by boars.
At nighttime I was still scared that there meight be a boar outside of my walls.

For some reason I never managed to have many good capers in World 6. (Valten, Dis, Coles, Polan Horde) The hate was strong in World 6. With any luck if we have a World 7 I'm not letting ANYONE know who I am.

(And more importantley I made freinds with Emerald who has a niggas back like ajax.)
