Do you know on what server hardware and at what datacentre HnH is hosted? You're aware that Loftar and Jorb maintains the server on their own alone? You're aware that they have to care about all the Crap shit going on (Bruteforce attacks, possible DDosing etc.) ?

Also you need to know that we have an uncommon hot summer over here in europe so our brains are melting and everything isn't handled as fast as it could be... (besides my PC needed extra cooling measures to keep it from shutting down all the time and not letting me play )

The main point is not the server, the hoster, Loftar or Jorb but all the asshattery ....

I work for an outsourced data center that hosts servers for 20 companies(50-500) users each. Our team supports a substantially heavier load than this game requires to host. Every minute of down time for applications cost our clients ALOT of money. Downtime is not acceptable. With the proper funding, H&H creators could afford additional redundant systems that would prevent an event like this from having such a large impact on users (Namely us).

So before judging a post, consider not all players are 16 yr old kids who do not know what they are talking about.

Please do not take what I said out of context. My point is not at all to criticize the creators, but to encourage donations to make hosting this game easier.

Also, I am well aware of the possibility this could be your before-mentioned attacks, however additional network security (Also not cheap) could benefit from more donations as well.

Since you work in a huge data center feel free to pay them whatever they need.
Encouraging donations works different.

Hard to see in the context of that post that you imply you encourage potential donators, seems more of an offensive take at the overall donation health of HnH. Patience Grasshopper, if you build it, they will come. Donations are acts of charity, not an event or stern order to be forced immediately!

sorry you don't get my point - the server is hosted at one of Hetzner datacenters and prolly good enough server hardware...sure it's great to donate and sure the bigger the better ...
