I don't understand these ranks at all.

It's simple, there are 6 brackets: Challenger, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. 99% of users are in the Diamond to Bronze levels while Challenger is pretty much exclusively for the top of the tournament players.

Within each category are more ranks: 1 to 5, with 1 being the highest and 5 being the lowest. Winning games raises your numbered rank all the way to 1 and then pushes you into the next bracket at rank 5.

(diomond 1 - best, bronze 5 - worst)

issue is that you get or lose divisions depend on whole team stats not only yours so you can win your part of game and still lose... and thats called elo hell

yeah dota is damn hard but i think its both ways all about being better than enemy. If enemy is better than you, you will lose lane no matter is game hard or easy
