RIP Lou Reed

General discussion and socializing.

I saw that article about pro-gray songs when I was deliberately searching for song lyrics. I had a faint idea why leather clothes look so good on them
The interview was great, yet I will have to re-read it when I am not so sleepy, but I assume that this generation just doesn't have an idea or goal they just create music for the sake of creating music. Quality sinking in quantity was always happening, but as it was mentioned in the interview literally anyone with computer can create music so I guess this only makes it harder to notice gems in those huge crowds at this time.
Or the old dudes just didn't leave anything to us and created everything. Its hard to imagine appearing some new technology to experiment with and use for creating music.

Lou Reed was a child molester and now he's rotting in hell.

I used to own Andy Warhol's Diaries (It was frikken huge, like 4000 pages) and in it it had his various dabblings with the stars of that day, the Velvet Underground, Mick and Bianca Jagger etc etc etc... I must have been REALLY bored because I read the whole damned thing and it had all SORTS of interesting, sometimes written ON THE SPOT accounts of their various doings. Mick Jagger's homosexual relationships, etc etc. if you can find a copy of it and can stomach reading the whole things you'll find the passages. Those cat's got up to NO END of debauchery in the 70's. Anyway.... yeah.

Possibly the largest book I've ever owned, you could have hit someone in the head with it and knocked them out.

So was Michael Jackson. Everyone seemed to willfully forget about that after he died. Then again, does it really matter? Nearly everyone has a shitty personal life at some point or another. Some just get shittier than others.

If you really do believe in things like Heaven and Hell, shouldn't we all be going there after we're dead to burn for our sins?

Yeah, I know it's not the world's greatest attitude on the matter, but if we reject everyone's work based on what they do in their personal lives, we might as well tear down all of government, all the great works of literature, art, and science, and go back to living in caves where we are only accountable to those living with us.

edit: I realize that there are those around that would find this preferable. Well, the wilderness is that way. ----> Nobody's stopping you.
