We could attempt to explain what karma really is, but it would be a very lengthy post and I know I'd fail at it. There is psychological and sociological "proof" that karma does work, if not quite in the mystical, spiritual way that is taught by Buddhism.

I will note that the research into it still isn't concrete, but enough for several strong theories to start showing up, such as leading a spiritual life is good for you, even if you don't believe in any god or divine being.

(Apologies for going sideways to the discussion here, but tired of seeing people saying that something doesn't exist even when there is strong evidence for it. It's like saying you can prove God does or doesn't exist. Absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

There's a lot to be said for karma - I'm not usualy a fan of anything not proven but I make an exception for karma, I don't think it's always evident in big ways but it is always there in some form or another. Simply put it's cause and effect, we bring about karma in our lives due to our actions and the feelings generated by them with either good or bad results, there is a bit more to it than just mysticism but lengthy to explain.

It is in bad taste to post a gif of someone burning alive, there are no two ways about it, thanks borka for putting it in the hide tags so I didn't have to see it. :)

Not much surprises me here anymore though, I have to be honest. :(

Ninja'd by MM yet again!
