I know of 1 or 2 female card game players that actually look pretty good.

General card game talk.

I've never been a big fan of Magic and those types (Star Wars/Trek type of "duelling" games).

Dominion is a lot of fun though, and a few specialized card games are really interesting, like Bang! and Guillitone. Also would Apples to Apples and Cards Against Humanity count? CAH is probably my favorite social game to play.

I play actual card games, although I'll play them online too, it all depends. ;)

I'd rather bust out a classic card deck and play cribbage, poker, or blackjack with someone during idle time than poke around on a phone or something. (But I'm old enough to remember when every asshole didn't have a personal screen on them 24/7 and so am somewhat disturbed by the trend.)

I don't like virtual cards, If I'm already on the computer I may as well play like Minecraft, HnH, or Runescape.

For me part of the fun is having to collect the physical cards. Opening packs, trading, all that. Being AT the events laughing and having fun.

My friends and I play Cards Against Humanity. We at one point had a huge family pack of Apples to Apples... but then THIS. Needless to say we have all 4 expansion packs, as well as the holiday specials and the BIGGEST BLACKEST BOX. A most holy of unholy creatures. Best game for drinking ever.

I used to play Pokemon and Yugioh, but that was a long time ago.

Both. It's a great group activity to break out a pack of cards and just play some poker. Heck, most of my generation has touched upon Pokemon or some such at some point in their life now and it's fun to break out the Pokemon TCG and play a little.

Of course things have become digital as well so if you want to play something with your friend in another country, online card games are great. =)
