I built the violin myself from a kit actually. It cost me about $100 less to do it myself but the only problem is that is lacks a sound post atm.
Inside every violin is a small cylinder of wood that sits between the back plate and the face of the violin to help with the tone when playing.
I don't trust myself to put it in lol, you have to put it in after the violin is sealed, so the only way to get it in there is to fit it through the "f" shaped holes on the front and then to push it over to the centre of the violin with a special tool. I'm scared it will fall loose and just be stuck in my goddamn violin forever
It's pretty interesting how they add the trim as well. It's basically like, a cardboard strip that fits into a carved outline around perimeter.
