What I find sad (and amusing) is the thought of people making up multiple personas on the internet instead of just being themselves. What's the purpose? Are you unhappy with who you are?

patch had said in public that it was not his main from the very start, most of us knew he was someone else playing "patch" char anyways. its just that many of us couldnt tell who.

For many of the same reasons as having multiple faces in real life. You don't have to be unhappy with who you are to be someone else with others. I don't know about you but I don't act the same way with my parents as I do with my close friends. =)
