Today i jumped on my boat and sailed to forage some stuff, i sailed like ten minutes in river then a strange affair happened, suddenly a guy with a high equipment appeared in front of me, he said stop, i scared, turned and started to run with my boat, he chased me about 5-10 mins. İ had no chance, stopped my boat and waited for a very early death.

He could probably kill me with a one hit, surprisingly he said that he is friendly and asked me if i need help, he brought me to his base, gave me some high ql curios and equipment...

There are still good people in haven and do you wanna share any stories like this?

 You stopped ur boat against a single person? Anyone thats used a boat knows it takes at least 3 men to pin someone elses boat down, two if they coordinate well, but one guy? I wouldn't give up even if there were 5 boats chasing me, and all i have is a linen alt.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Probably this, excluding fights that happen at world ends, because everyone is willing to PvP at world ends.

To compare, battle at the w3 end, screens on page 4 but read everything xD

There are many nice people in the world. Introductions seem to be the part most get hung up on. :)

It has a lot to do with when you read all the negative things on the forum of established players killing new players, and you're out and about, just built your first boat or whatnot and you actually see a player approach you.... Anything other than your noob linens is or could potentially mean, this is an established player, the forum has countless threads about how noobs get killed.

But, really, it is not so bad at all, or much like that. I met new players all the time, most of them don't run. They are cautious and sometimes freak out when my character walks toward them when memorizing.

I try to say things that make them feel welcome when approaching. Such as, "Hello there.", "Welcome.", Oh, another player? I haven't met you before."

Also, dropping them some gifts that you may have in your bag comes in handy, as well. Nothing better than being a new player and some geared player approaches you, only to gift you some edels or glimmers he just got done foraging.

All in all, I think it is how you approach them and what you say that makes the meeting a good one or one where the new player just runs away.

Before I gave up my murdering people I used to do something like that too. I would wear nettle clothing and would walk around the border of bases where I think people may be active, taking scents with you can help find people faster but my usual haunt is places with growing crops. If I find someone it's important to talk with them at length maybe for 10-15 minutes, ask where they are from, what they do for a living irl etc. Then when you feel they trust you a little then say, hey do you have any spare seeds? They so far have always said "sure" they will port out and then you can aggro.
I've only done this 4 times, so I can't say for sure if this method works every time.
The idea is to build a quick superficial bond with a person, it's just like with dogs, you take a dog for a walk and it will trust you.

This works only when you don't find a smart, cool and nice noob like me! ;3
That don't leave scents.
That is kind and scared inside at the same time.
That use alts to trade-help others.

Because all you bases belong to my friends!(.cit)
And have to be well hided from evils like U!! :O

Yes, sending alts out is a counter. Perhaps I was just lucky that they sent their main every time.
This was back with the old lp system when you gained lp for killing.
