Feel like reinstalling Xcom Apoc again after reading this thread again. But makes me sad when I finish it every time. Fucking Atari ruined the sequels.

Well, I think they did a fair job in continuing the story. I liked the transition from fully turn based to real time, but the limit to a single city and the way you had to get around was annoying.

Did anyone else play Scorched Earth a lot? Someone really needs to revive that to play on tablets or in a browser. Worms was fun, and I've played other ballistic tank games, but nothing beat that one, before or since.

They were working on X-COM 4 to 6 when Atari pulled the plug after buying up the license. Then it laid dormant for 10 years before 2K bought it and fucked it up even more with that stupid reboot they made. Some fair X-COM lookalike attempts were made but alot of them didn't even come close.
