Hello.

I am fairly new at this game.
And although I have a character already, I was wondering what new Brodgars view on Alts is, as I was thinking about joining with one.

The village that my current character is in is both small and neutral.

And I will split my time half and half between characters.

The only thing about alts is that if you have a Brodgar Main and a Brodgar Alt, the Alt is nothing better then a Slave, Unable to place ownership to anything that his master does not give him. It doesn't matter that you have a Main outside of Brodgar, unless you move your Main into Brodgar. If that makes sense....

Pretty much. If you live in Brodgar, you can not make another Brodgar to get more land/stuff...

I made a new character as my old town had died out entirely, and I had no want of traveling many miles across the forests, so here I am, across the northwest marsh, grinding in the forest. I would love to have a plot, but I would be content with being a hermit, much like the fellow who lives in the marsh.

Why don't you just contact the Mayor of New Brodgar - Cookie (premoria) and ask him to add you via Hearthsecret, and next time you are both on at the same time, he invites you to the village and you Travel to the Idol...?
