I look forward to Minecraft in that sense. Survival, buiding, etc.. Except there are no XP and levels.

Tried A Tale in the Desert? I haven't, but Delamore says it's good.

a tale in the desert is interesting, it's all crafting, zero combat whatsoever.

If we're talking single-player games, UnReal World is a must.

This is true and too many people respect nothing at all.

I'm much at the same point flame is at. I could really give a shit less to play the game anymore. I log a about 1/10th the time over the last two months that i did in the original innsmouth when I had delusions of granduer. H&H is a great game but its current incarnation is barely playable due to the imba of investment & risk to reward.

I've said time and again that the imba does not exist in formulas of combat (though such has always been lacking it is not the source of the imba). That it exists in the investment/reward ratios and formulas. Loftar insists that it's combat formulas and I'm truly fucking done trying to convince him otherwise.

People may be disillusioned by the current # of active player base but what you're seeing is about %60-%70 of 0chan Russian influx it's a fucking chanology on H&H from Rage's 'Jihad'. It's not a bad thing but it'll take a while before they get bored enough to determine who really gives a shit to stick around a broken system. It's quite obvious from their methods that not many of them give a shit to actually invest much into the game itself and so they point out very powerful methods of cheap griefing that have become essential to future developments. Don't hate the cutlure, just appreciate what it has contributed and will contribute to the development despite the major pitfa it may be to deal with at the moment.. The brick wall buff and battering ram was a MAJOR step toward balancing warfare but imho there's a long way for shit to go. Especially scraping this garbage heap of a combat system that just piled shit into more shit.

I just got a job offer at a hotel a world and half away from where I am now I doubt I'll be jacking in at all this summer. That's about a month or two from now before the hotel opens up and I'll drop off the face of the internet till next winter. Till then i'll dick aroudn here a few hours once or twice a week but for the record....I have as well become rather disenchanted for the last few months.
Well what is this that I can't see

Well I am death, none can excel

Hey Flame, you might try Wurm Online, too. As I recall, it's very similar to H&H but there are pvp zones - so you don't have to be in a place where you might get killed for no reason.

Personally, I like that there's inevitable death at the end of your character in H&H. Kinda like real life! :D
