not sure why max is whiteknighting since it sounds pretty likely the owner is just there to bother people with a bigass empty claim

the world is big enough for everyone that cities are right to claim territory outside their borders as their own.

id like to see civilization prosper. all of the cities being made in game are interesting experiments and if a few selfish hermits are crushed in the name of progress then so be it

what are you gonna do about it other than cry on the forums anyways

And why would they have to do that? You seem to be under the impression that bigger towns have obligations towards hermits and small communities, but no rights...that's an odd point of view.
