I duped some... Cooked mutton today. Yay. Quite glad that the work I did on the flax fields to get linen for ranger gear wasn't erased.

I've also got some mysteriously missing bear salami - either there was a crash much earlier (around 8 AM CST) after I logged off and it got eaten (and my steel duped and picked up by somebody for safe-keeping - I highly doubt that), or some of my kin have been eating my food. I don't think a thief is likely unless he has a pretty darn good stealth.

EDIT:

Just confirmed my salami got eaten in a crash a bit earlier that I missed because I logged off for a bit.

Okay, so my good, but somewhat dim friend Adam loses his ranger stuff, and thinks its a theft from a kin. Now since Owen JUST crafted his ranger stuff this morning, Adam suspects him. Well he interrogated him once, but that wasn't enough. So he somehow negotiated me into trapping him while he interrogated him. Poor Owen.

Of course, as it turns out, Adam just lost his stuff to one of today's server crashes, but luckily Owen didn't come to harm. Besides a bit of pant pissing. Boy was he sweating.

The really hilarious part is that we'd just had a discussion about where my bear salami went. Hint: Same place. Same time. Same inescapable black hole.

I was extremely scared and reasonably pissed because I specifically helped Adam because he's my neighbor and because I didn't want an innocent to get killed, called in WorkerDrone to help me keep him calm (Adam), and then WD wound up being the interrogator. I don't really want to be an innocent in a heated situation like this ever again, that's for sure, but I really do appreciate that the game - ironically through its not working, but still there - supports this sort of thing.

Seriously, I was extremely surprised when Adam roped me into it. Was not expecting that.

I got a soldiers sword duped, then duped again, but then I lost one of the dupes in a subsequent crash.

I think on the whole I have lost far more material possessions from dupes than I have gained, however I've gained TONS of LP by doing lots of things multiple times and LP is the most likely thing to stick around.

It was my plot you see. Took these steps

1) I accused a newbie of stealing it in the village
2) We went to his house, I asked WorkerDrone to tag along to observe.
3) When we arrived we searched the house, we then went outside and chatted
4) I pmed Worker and made a quick plan to trade Owen.
5) We went in the house and he looked in the basket, I stood at the door, then we both moved in on him and interrogated him, then when we found the crash ate it.. we were pissed lol.

Heh...its not so much that I was pissed, as laughing my ass off at the whole story as it unfolded right there in the first, say six or seven minutes. As soon as Owen mentioned ONE of the crashes, I brought up the MULTIPLE crashes today, and it was just TOO likely that a crash ate it instead of Owen stealing it. Go figure.

Oh yeah, Adam was pissed though. But it was a kinda of pissed that you couldn't throw arrows at, because there wasn't anyone to be pissed at...besides maybe the server and those tinker gnomes.
